HOW CAN YOU HELP ?
We are always looking for volunteers to help with the running of the museum. If you have some spare time and you would like to volunteer we would be delighted to hear from you. This work covers all aspects of the running of the site and is not restricted to anyone who can hold a spanner, in fact it is skills in other areas that are required, to help take the vision for the site, to a successful conclusion.
If you want to make a donation in memory of anyone or just for yourself, we are looking at putting metal plaques on the supporting brickwork of the headgear, which can be inscribed with the name of the person who donated or the name of a loved one. Cost is £125.00 for a standard 6 X 4 inch brass plaque. Once we receive your payment and inscription, arrangements will be made to get the engraving done and you will be informed when the plaque will be attached to the brickwork at the museum, so you can attend if you wish.
Companies and other organisations are invited to become corporate sponsors of the site. Please enquire regarding packages available to advertise your business or organisation.
The museum and site depend on donations from everyone to survive, no matter how large or small, without which the museum would fold. With no central funding to support it, the museum relies solely on the generosity of its visitors and supporters. Every penny received is used on the upkeep of the museum and its exhibits and no-one is paid for the work they do in keeping the museum running.
